HIM - 666 innocent pleasures and endless summer night in Timisoara

When no one expect HIM to return to Romania, surprise occurred, and the Finnish band concert on July 31 in Rose Park in Timisoara. Although not very communicative with the public, HIM managed to conquer their fans with hits from all over the country. Read the article details how the concert was held.

Nine years I waited for HIM to return to our country and behold Finns finally returned and this time they toured the Park of Roses in Timisoara, on July 31. The boys took care to bring with them a little cold in northern Europe, for nine hours spent on the road we escaped the heat in the capital and found a gray sky and the smell of rain in Timisoara.

Aeon Blank, Tiarra and Myrath were troops who extended pending opening of seeing HIM fans. The first lineup - Aeon Blank has come from Bucharest to hot atmosphere of the park. The boys were very dynamic on stage and tried to make us as pleasant expectation of the band HIM. Among the songs that I remember there were "Of gravity and passion", which is also their first song aired on the radio and "Behind closed doors".

Tiarra was the only band that brought female presence on stage Rose Park. Anda warm voice, suave notes played on violin and cello and sweetened scent of roses had last evening in July. Alex, however, energized the audience and made chaotic tresses to stir the forefront, when it chose "ballad" Burn, as it likes to call. I do not know if those were unlucky to Tiarra because their drummer was injured, or lucky because they had with two others who have held the place and successfully coped with the situation.

After we listened the Romanians, suddenly we traveled to the Middle East, along with Myrath, a band arrived from Tunisia. The kind that defines those from Myrath is oriental metal and folk influences in their songs send you thinking about the stories or characters like Aladdin desert. Zaher Zorge, singer conquered the whole scene with his powerful voice and songs like "Tales of the Sands", "merciless Times" and "Madness".

After 9 years, the wait is over, and our desire to watch again from the HIM materialized when Ville Valo, Linde, Mige, Burton and new drummer Kosmo Emerson went on stage. Baritone soloist voice made me shiver from the first verse of the song "Buried Alive by Love". Who thought Ville is a vampire, was not mistaken. The artist found the elixir of youth because at the age of 38 years looks better than ever. Although the interview told me that eternal life is tedious, certainly he made the pact in time for it to not leave their mark on it.

"Join me in death" and a star-filled sky above him Valo was enough to remind me famous video of the song. Suddenly Rose Park turned into an ice palace, and included chills my body while humming along Ville each verse.

Linde and Mige were the most energetic of the band, despite their aging, while Mr. Valo was pretty good on stage. He did not talk very much with the public nor approached by fans, and during the concert looked a bit dejected. At the end of the song "Funeral of Hearts" tried to make a joke, changing the line "bloom" with "gloom", which sparked laughter among those present.

Your Sweet 666" turned into "Your Sweet 999", because after 9 years we've missed and 9 hours spent on the way to Timisoara HIM returned on the Romanian scene at 9, with a setlist full of hits like "Wings of a Butterfly", "In sorrow and joy", "Heartkiller", "Right Here in My Arms" and "Tears on Tape". I had the opportunity to hear the famous cover "Wicked Game" piece that belongs to Chris Isaak.

Towards the end of the concert, Ville caught a little courage and thanked us on behalf of the band I came to listen. After the concert in Timisoara, HIM day had performances in Hungary and Valo seemed less concerned about putting the question whether support will come to the show on time.

    "I think HIM ought to be called IF, hahaha," said Ville Valo.

When it came time for "Right here in my arms," ​​Ville showed us how to keep pace with the band, hitting his head with the microphone. And since it came to his head, the singer took the stage wearing the iconic hat, despite the fact that we are in July.

My favorite moment was interpretations song "Gone with the sin", a song with a very strong emotional and passionate lyrics that fit perfectly with the stamp sober and mysterious vampire Finnish side.

When everybody thought the show ended with the song "When Love and Death Embrace" HIM returned on stage for encore, choosing to sing the famous song Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell". Shouts, applause, maybe "the band tears" - that divided the Romanian fans with their beloved band. Ville, a lord of darkness, brought from the North passion of endless summer nights and 666 innocent pleasures for its audience.
